Big Book of Bible Facts and Fun

I use this book all the time. It is full of great ideas and helps me add to our curriculum to get the Bible into our kids. I love this book. It is one of my favorites.

I think this Big Book is a wonderful complement to the book WHAT THE BIBLE IS ALL ABOUT FOR YOUNG EXPLORERS. I'm using the worksheets in this Big Book for my students when I teach them the Books of the Bible.

The 'Song of Songs' is a direct translation from Hebrew: "Canticum Canticorum" (the original language of the OT). Since the first verse of the book translated in English is "The Song of Songs, which is Solomon's" (NRSV) people call the book "The Song of Solomon" in the English Bible. In fact, "The Song of Songs" is the "more correct" name of the book. so you are not teaching your kids a "wrong name".

Be warned if you are teaching your class the books of the Bible and think you have found the perfect book for it like I did, that Gospel Light has omitted the book: Song of Solomon and substituted : Song of Songs for it. I was very dissapointed to find this out when I got home with this book. I am very disturbed by the fact that they think they have the right to change the name of one of the Books of the Bible!!! I am certainly not going to teach my class the wrong name so I don't know if I can use this book or not. I can copy over it in some places but in puzzles and the like the letters don't fit. extremely dissapointed
