The word “faith” is common these days, but placing one’s faith in God is a weighty action, uncommonly fraught with consequence and, by His design, inconvenience. Faith in God is reassuring and comforting only insofar as believers trust Him—and that depth of trust is the mark of a mature Christian who has allowed faith to intrude on his life and shift his gaze away from his own aims, needs and desires. This is nothing if not a painful and disturbing process.  A Disruptive Faith is A. W. Tozer’s never-before-published teaching on what he termed “faith that perturbs”—faith that contradicts the unbelieving man and threatens the complacency of the Christian. The renowned pastor and teacher insists in these pages that genuine faith breeds dissatisfaction with this life, by God’s design; it weans us from this temporary life and prepares us for the life to come. Readers will learn to be content with this faith-inspired discontent and to experience a fresh hope for eternity with God. A.W. Tozer embarked upon a lifelong pursuit of God at the age of 17 after hearing a street preacher in Akron, Ohio. He was a self-taught pastor, writer and editor whose powerful messages continue to grip the hearts and stir the souls of today's believers. Follow his quotes at http://twitter.com/tozeraw.

Teachings from the Gospel of John Many Christians are familiar with the prophetic voice of Tozer, but few living today were blessed to sit under his weekly teaching from the pulpit. The Gospel of John was Tozer's favorite book of the Bible, and the focus of these writings (adapted from sermons given to his parishioners) is the Incarnation and what it means for believers' lives. Christ came down to earth in order to lift men and women up into the heavenlines. No other New Testament writer, not even the amazing apostle Paul, presents Christ with a passion equal to John's, the Beloved. Tozer captures the spirit of John and presents his winsome and enthralling portrait of Christ, challenging readers to discover a fresh and overwhelming desire for Him. Readers will be captivated anew by the One we call Lord. A.W. Tozer embarked upon a lifelong pursuit of God at the age of 17 after hearing a street preacher in Akron, Ohio. What Happens When We Trust Him  Faith is trust. It is a confidence in the power and goodness of God that leads us to make good decisions and allows us to surrender our lives to Him. As we strive to mature spiritually and lead lives pleasing to God, we all want more faith. Hebrews 6:12 says that we are to be “imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.” One of the best ways to grow in faith is to imitate the lives of people who have shown great faith. Hebrews 11 guides us through the lives of men and women – like Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Sarah, Moses, Rahab, David and others – who have done just that. Real people with real lives and real problems, who had faith in a great God and trusted Him at pivotal moments in their lives. By drawing on some of the greatest lives of faith in the Bible, readers will come to see that God was worthy of these men’s and women’s trust and faith during biblical times in the same way that He is worthy of ours today.  Britt Merrick was born and raised near Santa Barbara, CA in a little town on the beach named Carpinteria. He grew up entrenched in the surf industry, working for his parents’ business Channel Islands Surfboards.  Starting by sweeping out the shaping rooms, soon he was making surfboards along side his father (Al Merrick) at the factory for some of the best surfers in the world. Britt was also handling the famous company’s advertising, marketing, and amateur surf team.  Although he received Jesus as a young child, Britt had never known what it was to walk with Him.  He had both feet in the world, using drugs, alcohol, and getting into trouble.  In his early twenties, Britt was introduced to the transforming power of the Word of God, and thus began a new life.  Shortly after re-committing his life to the Lord, with a fresh fire for the Truth, Britt began to teach bible studies at his parents’ home for the surfer kids in Carpinteria. These bible studies eventually led to Britt teaching and preaching at a Friday night college ministry at a local church in Santa Barbara. In the fall of 2003, sensing a further call to ministry, Britt laid aside Channel Islands and he and his wife along with some close friends started a church called Reality in his hometown of Carpinteria. Since that time the Reality family has grown to include churches in Ventura, Los Angeles, Stockton, San Francisco, and London, England. Reality is focused on biblical faithfulness, community transformation, church birthing, and equipping the next generation of leaders. Britt continues to pastor full time and lives with his wife Kate, and their two children in Carpinteria.

The apostle Paul declared in his letter to the Galatians that he had been “crucified with Christ.” But what does this mean? Is this a claim every believer can and should make? The Crucified Life is a comprehensive exploration of these questions, answered with the deep, biblical thinking for which Tozer was revered. “God is ingenious in developing crosses for His followers,” Tozer was fond of saying. At the heart of the book is a call to believers to follow Christ to the Cross and be raised to new life—a call to live and thrive in the crucified life. A.W. Day That Changed Forever, The
    Day That Changed Forever, The

Twenty-One Life-Changing Experiences at the Cross The events surrounding Christ's Passion really happened, and the people who experienced those events were real people, just like us - individuals with their own histories, preconceptions, desires and ambitions. In The Day That Changed Forever, Dr. Tim Roehl tells the stories of those events and people, using a combination of rigorous biblical scholarship and what he calls "sanctified imagination." What must Barabbas have been thinking when he was set free so that an innocent man could die in his place? What went through the mind of Simon of Cyrene when he was drafted by Roman soldiers to carry Jesus' cross? What led Annas, a religious leader, to use his influence to condemn Jesus to death? Sometimes a story can become so familiar that it begins to lose its power to startle and amaze its audience - it can be tempting for Christians to think they know the story of Jesus' life, death and resurrection while forgetting to be changed by it. The unique viewpoints of the people at the cross, imagined with compelling realism in The Day That Changed Forever, will bring fresh perspective to the familiar events and awaken in readers a newfound passion for the old, old story. Dr. Tim Roehl is the author of Christmas Hearts and Surprised By Grace, and of numerous dramatic sketches used in churches across North America. He also writes regularly for The Evangelical Challenge and other national magazines. Dr. Roehl served in pastoral ministry for more than 20 years, and is now a missionary with Church Resource Ministries, serving leaders around the world. He and his wife, Shirley, have two daughters.
