Hey everyone; this is my first post! I thought it would be useful to add some of the album art I have created for this year’s VBS at my church. I have not decided on a final design and was actually thinking of letting some of the children in the church design their own and picking the coolest one for everyone else. Just a thought, feel free to use any of the pictures I attached. I created them using my own pictures or pictures from the clip art cd!! this might take a few posts, sorry, the files are really big.

I have the music director DVD and CD-Rom. I was talking with the director of the final program and she said that it included 2 songs...In a Very Big Way and A Little Bit More. I don't have those songs on either the DVD or the CD-Rom. I do see the word charts for the songs, but don't have any music for them. Am I missing something. Is there just a music CD out there that the director of VBS didn't get? Please help...we start Sunday!

Help!I didn't order the music director CD and my music director needs to learn the music. Can anyone e-mail the sheet music we can use until I get my order?

Sorry I didn't find your questions sooner, Rodney and Addie! But do tell me what you did--did you just skip those preschool songs, did you make up a lead sheet, make up motions, what? Would be interested to know how you got creative!

As a guitarist playing along to the soundtracks I sometimes alter the tracks a little in Garage Band to suit my preferences. In "Whatever You Do" I took out the key changes and added a repeat.

Sometimes I find that the chords in the songbook don't match the soundtrack so I write up my own chord charts.

For as long as I've known about Gospel Light's VBS curriculum, they have only once choreographed the preschool songs. They have always had two songs for each VBS for the preschoolers and some years they were the same as past years. I think many VBS Directors don't use them because they aren't choreographed and/or they don't have a video of the motions for them. I remember that for SonHarvest County Fair VBS 2003 the preschool songs were choreographed but that was it. They were a part of the Music VHS.

Josh, you've got such a good memory! To the rest of you, did you use the preschool songs? Did you create your own motions? Is there a reason to use them or do you use the others instead?

Hey! Hey! A heads-up for SonSurf Beach! BOTH of the preschool songs have a VIDEO and that means you have the words scrolling at the bottom of the video! Just another very cool way to engage the itty bitty grommets! (That means preschoolers!)
