Have you used a VBS at another time of the year, say for your church's day care program during Easter vacation or Christmas Break? Tell us about your experience here!

We just had VBS during the February school vacation week last week. In the summer, we have Backyard Clubs (BYC) where we bring the best of VBS to backyards. Families in our church volunteer to host a BYC and I hire 3-4 teens (each of which is responsible for a different task -- games, crafts, music, Bible time). Since we use GospelLight's VBS program in February, we order the 13-week after VBS programs for the BYC lessons...I just choose 5 lessons that match the themes as close as possible. This allows us to promote it by "continuing the fun of VBS".
By the way, you can check out pics of the fun we had at SonRise National Park at:

I am using Sonrise National Park for a week of kid's camp, so I need extra activities and crafts because we have them 24 hours a day. Yes, we do sleep some, but still need to fill the waking hours! I am having a hard time with the theme and knowing what to look for when I am in a craft shop or toy store, because it is so broad. It's not like a beach theme that just lends itself to ideas. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
