Tell us! Tell us! what was the best part of VBS 2010? What was the worst part? What would you have changed if you could?

We were using Rainforest this year and I honestly have to say that it's the worst we've ever had.  There is NOTHING too tie the rainforest into these bible stories.  Also, the new format for the teachers guides are difficult to work with.  There is VERY VERY limited ideas for games and activities.  Preschoolers and 1st graders don't want to sit and talk for 20-40 minutes.  They need activities and games to keep their interest.

Also, the music choice was extremeley difficult for the adults to follow, let alone the chidlren.

Sorry but everyone was really disappointed this year.

Tara, can you describe your difficulties a little more?

Do you have your younger children in with the older ones at VBS, or are they on a separate track?

Did you use the preschool teachers' guide and preschool music for kids in preschool and entering kindergarten?

What was the most difficult part of using the teachers' guides?

Did you use the skits? They retold the parable for each day.

Vent here! We'd love to be able to help you make 2011 much better!
